About
Learn more about how ACM at ASU operates: from its purpose, to its programs and its people.
Purpose
The most basic purpose of the ACM at ASU is to bridge the gap between students and the ACM, a global nonprofit computing society that serves both professional and public interests by facilitating the open exchange of information and by promoting the highest professional and ethical standards. ACM at ASU achieves this by fostering collaboration and community between students and the ACM through opportunities for networking, learning, mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
These opportunities are supported by a variety of resources, events and activities including, but not limited to, discussions, forums, symposia, conferences, competitions, collaborations, publications, literature, workshops and tools.
As each of our hosted events occurs, simultaneously, in Tempe and Online, membership in ACM at ASU is open to all ASU students from around the world.
